Physics has new Nobel lautures

Today the Nobel prize of Physics was announced and ...  it goes to ...  quantum optics. This is the field in physics dealing with the application of quantum mechanics to phenomena involving light and its interactions with matter [Wiki-source] and had already been awarded a prize in 2005. So, in spite of the speculations after recent discoveries at the LHC, it seems that these teams will have to wait.
Interestingly, something that came up in a recent conversation with my  colleagues, is that there are other fields waiting to be more represented among the winners such as gravity. Einstein for instance got his for the photoelectric effect. Hopefully the lingering is not too long and does not come too late.
Oh! I was looking up some statistics on the Nobel prize and found some interesting ones. So if you are looking for a formula to get the Nobel prize click here.
